Alternate Area Handler is a handler for adding alternate areas to an area's pool, this mod does nothing on its own and is intended to be used by other mods that add new areas that they want to be possible alternatives to existing (or new) areas. The handler will automatically combine the new area pools of any mods making use of it.

An example of a use case for this would be if you wanted a chance for sewers to lead to a new area instead of scrapyards like normal.

Alternate Area Handler works by assigning potential alternate areas to an existing area, and rolling to redirect to any valid alternative areas when you would normally have a 100% chance to enter the default area.

Additionally areas can be assigned to an override pool if their spawn condition is met, for cases similar to a cursed weapon replacing crystal caves with cursed crystal caves.

Different spawn weights can be assigned if you want areas to be rarer or more common, and you can even shuffle basegame areas if you really wanted to.

Be aware of where your areas exit to or you may cause an inescapable recursion!

Note: AlternateAreaHandler is a .area file and needs to be loaded with /loadarea (this is due to area_transit only functioning in area files)
